Adam Baggott

Adam joined the wine trade in 2001 working for a wine retailer.  Working at the coal face of the industry, the highlight of his retail career was managing a £1.8 million turnover store.  After five successful years in retail he has spent the last eight years working for a UK agent in the on trade and then a Spanish producer in the off trade.  His broad experience is invaluable in a role such as this and he most enjoys spending time in trade with his customers, be it at portfolio tastings, winemaker dinners and events or staff training sessions. He eagerly describes his recent move to Maisons Marques et Domaines as his dream job in the wine trade and is looking forward to all the challenges that lay ahead. He is passionate about the quality and depth of wines in the portfolio as they have a strong sense of place and great stories to tell.A dam likes to spend his spare time sailing. He sails all manner of boats from dinghies to yachts and has raced in ten Round the Island races, this year finishing 41st out of 1,580 boats that started. In 2013, he raced in the RORC off shore season and completed his first Fastnet race, racing from Cowes to the southern tip of Ireland and back to Plymouth.  He is also a great cook and enjoys catching fish on the local beach and firing up the barbecue – cheers!!
