Charles Taverner

Scholar, athlete, writer, thinker, humourist, traveller, salesman; Charles has managed the national off-trade business since 2009 having joined the team, originally as London sales manager, in 2004. He has previously worked with a number of Grande Marque Champagne houses’ UK distributors, having first started working in the wine trade in a Burgundy vineyard in 1992. He qualified for his WSET Diploma in 2001, and as a former President of the Wine Trade Sports Club is a trustee of their Foundation charity. Away from work he enjoys spending time with his family, has a passion for cycling, enjoys playing cricket, and is allegedly MMD’s tallest employee ever.
