Producer Information

This Burgundian domaine has been a family estate for nearly 200 years. Erwan Faiveley, 7th generation, took the reins in 2006 from his father when he was only 25. They have earned their reputation as one of Burgundy’s finest and most trusted, with an unparalleled selection from the Côte de Nuits, Côte de Beaune and Côte Chalonnaise totalling over 120 hectares.

Vineyards

Fleurie is one of the best known of the ten Beaujolais crus. Located in the northern part of Beaujolais, the appellation covers the vineyards in the commune of Fleurie, on the western slopes of the Beaujolais hills. Fleurie wines are some of the most highly regarded – made from the Gamay grape variety.

Winemaking

The producers Faiveley are in partnership with entrust them with wines from rigorously selected plots. The harvest is vinifed by these producers and the wine is then raised in vats for around ten months.

Vintage Information

The reds have a wonderful concentration and a nice tannic structure. Their colour is deep ruby. The 2012 vintage is characterized by freshness, remarkable balance and delicate aromas of fresh fruit, black cherry and raspberry.

Tasting Note

This wine has floral aromas on the nose (iris, violet, faded rose) which accompany fresh red fruit notes. It has fresh, crunchy, fruit tastes on the palate wrapped up in a structure whichis full of finesse.
This feminine, graceful and elegant wine gives a pleasant sensation of freshness when
tasted young.
