Les Challeys White Saint-Joseph is a blend from the terroirs of Sainte-Epine, Mauves and
Vinification
The grapes are hand-picked and transported in small boxes. Gentle pressing produces must that ferments in closed tanks at low temperatures of 16-18C, preserving the aromatic complexity of Marsanne and Roussanne. After malolactic fermentation, the wine is racked and matured on fine lees to build richness and structure while retaining varietal aromas. Bottling takes place around mid-April, preserving freshness, floral lift and the textural profile of Saint-Joseph blanc.
Tasting Note
Les Challeys White is brilliant green-gold in colour. The nose shows pure floral aromas, mingled with citrus and preserved fruit. The palate follows with similar flavours, adding a touch of honey and a rounded texture. Medium-bodied and fresh, it balances Marsanne richness with Roussanne lift and detail. The finish is clean and clear, with lingering notes of flowers and fresh almond.
Food Pairing
Pair with steamed fish in sauce, poultry stuffed with apricots or peaches, roast chicken, quail, creamy vegetable dishes, hard cheeses or shellfish.
