“Despite all of the hype on the 2010 vintage for Barolo, the 2011 is a more than worthy successor—in some cases, it produced better-made wines at top vineyard sites.. Warm and generous wines with plenty of ripe fruit and tannins, these Nebbiolos are very attractive to drink now, but they’ll improve with time in your cellar”, according to Tatler, Hong Kong.

2015 has been a great year for Vicente Dalmau Cebrián- Sagarriga, the president of Marqués de Murrieta.

Having won the Best Entrepreneur of the Year from both Actualidad Económica and Condé Nast, followed by best winery in the world, he now completes his hat-trick of awards with Gentleman’s ‘Best Entrepreneur of the Year’.

Upon receiving his third award this year, Vicente noted that this award recognises the “daily, honest and responsible work” of his team to make his 19 year old dream a reality.

Our annual Domaine Faiveley Grand Cur lunch took place yesterday at The Square, Philip Howard’s superb 2 star restaurant in Mayfair.

A Visit to the Madrid Open with Marqués de Murrieta

A group of our top customers and staff were invited to the Mutua Madrid Open by Vicente Dalmau Cebrián-Sagarriga, Count of Creixell to join him for an evening of tennis followed by a visit to the recently renovated Castillo Ygay in Rioja Alta.

As sponsors of the Mutua Open, we were treated to VIP hospitality and enjoyed Pazo Barrantes and Murrieta´s Reserva from the box.

We were lucky enough to see GB´s Andy Murray take on Spain´s Marcel Granollers and eventually beat Rafael Nadal to take the title…it must have been the home team support.

Rosewood Hotels to manage Castiglion del Bosco

Rosewood Hotels & Resorts® has been appointed to manage Castiglion del Bosco, the bucolic Italian resort located in Montalcino, Tuscany. Roederer celebrates launches of Jaeger-leCoultre boutique and Karen Walker perfume

12^th May – A busy day for Louis Roederer! Our first stop was Harvey Nichols where Karen Walker celebrated the launch of her three new perfumes – A, B and C –with Louis Roederer Brut Premier.

The event, attended by Karen Walker aficionados and Harvey Nichols guests, saw Karen herself talking guests through the range with a glass of her favourite champagne to hand.

Next stop: Old Bond Street for another launch – this time the new Jaeger-leCoultre UK flagship store. The beautiful space features a Reverso bar, watchmaker’s station and complication wall showcasing all of the intricate internal workings of these sought-after pieces. As a brand partner, Champagne Louis Roederer was flowing freely all through the night.

Ch Pichon Lalande and Ch de Pez at Goedhuis’ Grand Cru Tasting

On 23^rd April the Saatchi Gallery, London, was besieged by hordes of thirsty fine claret drinkers, keen to sample the impressive line-up of 2012, 2009, 2008 and 2005 vintages from Goedhuis’ impressive selection of top Bordeaux properties including Calon Segur, Cos, Montrose, Grand Puy Lacoste, Lynch Bage, Pichon Baron, Leoville and Langoa Barton, Leoville Poyferre, Issan, Rauzan Segla, Gazin, l’Evangile, La Conseillante, Canon, Domaine de Chevalier, Haut Bailly, Rieussec, CLimens, Suduiraut, Guiraud, as well as Château Pichon Lalande and Château de Pez.

Over 500 guests were treated to the 2008 & 2012 Pichon Lalande, and the 2009 & 2012 Château de Pez.
