Louis Roederer named the “Most Admired Champagne Brand” for the sixth consecutive year

For the first time in the history of this globally respected annual ranking by Drinks International magazine, which honours the most respected Champagne Houses, Louis Roederer has been named “Most Admired Champagne Brand” for the sixth consecutive year.

This prestigious distinction, awarded by an international jury of leading wine experts, including sommeliers, retailers, importers, Masters of Wine, journalists and wine writers, honours Louis Roederer’s consistency and excellence, its dedication to sustainable viticulture, and its unique savoir-faire passed down through generations.

“A rare achievement that reflects a continuous quest for excellence”

For over a decade, the Most Admired Champagne Brands ranking has recognised the Champagne Houses that embody consistency, innovation and respect for terroir. Only a handful of Champagne Houses have achieved the distinction of holding the top spot for multiple consecutive years.
According to wine journalist, Giles Fallowfield, who oversees the awards, “Getting to the top of the pile in the Most Admired Champagne Brands survey is quite an achievement. Staying there for six consecutive years is another level of challenge, requiring constant vigilance, unwavering investment and a real capacity for innovation.”

Commenting on the accolade, Frédéric Rouzaud, CEO of Louis Roederer, said: “To receive such a prestigious award once again is a fabulous recognition of the work of our entire team. It honours our unwavering commitment to preserving the soul of our Champagne House, while constantly pushing the boundaries, reinterpreting our terroir and refining our expertise to create Grands Vins de Champagne, wines of emotion that offer a singular taste experience. More than ever, we remain true to our vision: sustainable winegrowing, respectful of the environment and dedicated to the pursuit of taste.”

This commitment is particularly reflected in the Champagne House’s grandes cuvées, including Cristal Rosé, which has just celebrated its 50th anniversary. Created in 1974 at the instigation of Jean-Claude Rouzaud, this exceptional cuvée, based on a careful selection of the finest Champagne terroirs, has played an important role in the history of Louis Roederer.

In its article on the 2025 ranking, Drinks International highlights this milestone anniversary and the unforgettable tasting event held to mark it. This event, which included a vertical tasting of the finest Cristal Rosé vintages and celebrated the exceptional longevity of this iconic cuvée, was held at the prestigious La Tour d’Argent in Paris and top restaurants in the world’s major capital cities.
