Villa Marcello
Villa Marcello is a Prosecco DOC producer based in Treviso, Veneto, Italy, known for estate-grown sparkling wine made primarily from Glera, with Pinot Bianco adding depth and elegance. The estate lies in the Prosecco Treviso DOC, close to Conegliano, where abundant light, Adriatic breezes and the Venetian pre-Alps help shape fresh, refined and regionally expressive Italian sparkling wine. Villa Marcello Prosecco offers a premium, estate-led alternative within the Prosecco category, combining historic Venetian heritage with modern vineyard management and precise production.

Villa Marcello Prosecco Rosé 2024 is produced in the Prosecco Treviso DOC from 60 hectares of estate vineyards in Treviso. The blend is composed of 85% Glera and 15% Pinot Nero, planted on silty clay soils. Glera brings freshness, pear and floral lift, while Pinot Nero contributes red-fruit detail, colour and structure. The estate vineyard source allows close control over fruit quality and supports a refined rosé sparkling wine style.
Vinification
The wine is made with specially selected yeasts chosen to bring complexity and finesse. The first fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks, with cryomaceration at 5?C to preserve fruit purity and aromatic freshness. Secondary fermentation is carried out using the Charmat Method, followed by four months on lees to build texture and balance. The final dosage is 4.5g/l, supporting a dry, elegant ros? sparkling profile.
Tasting Note
The nose shows white peach, flowers, raspberry and wild strawberry. The palate is elegant, savoury and full-bodied for Prosecco Ros?, combining soft red-fruit notes with fresh orchard fruit and floral lift. Fine bubbles give the wine a polished texture, while the low dosage keeps the profile dry and precise. The finish is clean, refreshing and balanced, with lingering red berry and peach notes.
Food Pairing
Pair with seafood, salads, creamy cheeses, cured meats, smoked salmon, prawn cocktail, burrata, tomato-based starters, charcuterie or light summer dishes.
