Deutz Brut Classic NV is a multi-vintage Champagne blended from 75 crus, reflecting the House?s focus on balance, precision and consistency. Based on the 2022 vintage, the blend is 40% Chardonnay, 35% Pinot Noir and 25% Pinot Meunier, with 28% reserve wines from the 2021, 2020 and 2019 vintages. Chardonnay brings freshness and finesse, Pinot Noir adds roundness and structure, and Pinot Meunier contributes fruit and accessibility.
Vinification
Deutz Brut Classic is crafted as a classic brut Champagne with a modern, finely balanced profile. Malolactic fermentation is completed, giving roundness and harmony, while cellar ageing for three years on lees adds texture, aromatic integration and complexity. The dosage is 6.5g/l, supporting balance without obscuring the wine?s freshness, precision and elegant vinosity.
Tasting Note
Rich gold in colour, with a very fine sparkle, a signature of Deutz Champagnes after extended lees ageing. The bouquet is expressive, opening with hawthorn and white flowers, followed by toasted bread, marzipan, ripe apple and pear. The palate combines Chardonnay freshness with Pinot roundness and elegant vinosity. Silky in texture and harmonious in balance, it finishes with a persistent, fruit-led note and a charming, precise profile.
Food Pairing
Serve as an aperitif or pair with shellfish, lightly sauced fish, fish tartare, tender poultry, vegetable risotto, truffled Brie or refined canapes.
