Deutz Demi-Sec NV is a multi-vintage Champagne inspired by the profile of Deutz Brut Classic, with a more generous dosage. The blend is 40% Chardonnay, 30% Pinot Noir and 30% Pinot Meunier, with 53% reserve wine. Chardonnay provides finesse and freshness, while Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier bring richness, fruit and roundness, creating a balanced demi-sec style for gastronomy and dessert pairing.
Vinification
Deutz Demi-Sec completes malolactic fermentation and is aged for four years in cellar, giving the wine integration, softness and aromatic complexity. Bottled in spring, the cuvee is finished with a dosage of 41g/l. This generous dosage is central to its style, supporting a smooth, rounded palate while retaining the freshness and finesse required for balanced demi-sec Champagne.
Tasting Note
Straw-gold in colour, with fine and elegant effervescence. The nose is rich and complex, showing hawthorn blossom, white flowers, delicate fruit and pastry notes. The palate is generous yet balanced, with Chardonnay finesse and Pinot Noir richness expressed with precision and restraint. Smooth, rounded and harmonious, it carries sweetness with freshness and elegance. The finish is long-lasting, refined and suited to dessert or subtly spiced cuisine.
Food Pairing
Pair with apple tart, caramelised peach, fruit desserts, foie gras, braised pork in soy sauce, warm spice desserts or refined sweet-savoury dishes.
