Amour de Deutz 2015 is made from 100% Chardonnay sourced from Premier and Grand Cru villages. The blend includes Avize, Oger, Le Mesnil-sur-Oger, Chouilly, Vertus, Villeneuve-Renneville and Villers-Marmery. These fine Chardonnay origins give the cuv?e breadth, depth and length, as well as floral delicacy, citrus precision and mineral elegance. The wine is designed as a prestige Blanc de Blancs Champagne shaped by time in cellar.
Vinification
The grapes were harvested between 15 and 18 September 2015. Malolactic fermentation is completed, contributing harmony and texture. The wine was bottled on 27 June 2016 and aged for nine years in cellar, allowing the Chardonnay’s floral, citrus and brioche notes to evolve with precision. A dosage of 6.5g/l supports balance while preserving the cuvee’s freshness, salinity and elegance.
2015
The 2015 vintage followed a rainy winter, then bright spring conditions and an exceptionally warm April. A hot summer concentrated the fruit, while August rain supported final ripening. The harvest took place in excellent sanitary conditions and required precise picking, particularly for Chardonnay, which was harvested later to reach ideal maturity. The result is a concentrated yet balanced vintage, suited to a radiant and expressive Amour de Deutz.
Tasting Note
Pale brilliant gold in colour, with very fine bubbles. The nose is floral and elegant, with hawthorn, acacia and orange blossom, followed by yellow fruit, candied citrus, subtle brioche, honey and gentle toast. The palate opens with precise, luminous tension, then reveals blood orange, mandarin and yellow peach. The texture is pure, generous and finely sculpted. The finish is persistent, balanced and lifted by ethereal salinity.
Food Pairing
Pair with seared scallops, passion fruit emulsion, lobster, turbot, citrus-led seafood dishes, roast poultry, delicate cheeses or shellfish courses.
