Anna Schena

Despite her hometown, Verona, being known for some of the best Italian wines, Anna’s passion for wine started relatively late. After moving to Milan to study Business Administration and achieving and MSc in Insurance, she moved to London to work in the city. It was during some evening classes at the WSET that she realised wine could be the plan B she was looking for. Allowing herself a “third of a life” crisis, she quit banking and enrolled in the Wine Diploma at Le Cordon Bleu. Since then she took on a variety of roles first in a wine start up, then for Nyetimber and Harvey Nichols. She spent the last year as a Brand Manager for Armit Wines, looking after some of the iconic estates of Italy and France. Anna joined joined Maisons Marques et Domaines in June 2020 as Brand Manager for Pio Cesare, Tommasi, Castiglion del Bosco, Marchesi Mazzei, Pascal Jolivet and Meerlust Estate. A self professed Europe-trotter, she loves nothing more than hopping through the old continent discovering new restaurants and new wine regions. Anna holds her Diploma in Wine and Spirits.
