Domaine Anderson is nestled in the breathtaking, fog-cooled hillside and mountain terrain of Northern California’s Anderson Valley. The cooling marine layer that is characteristic of this region provides ideal conditions for the cultivation of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay grapes. All the wines wines are crafted with precision and care to express the uniqueness of the Anderson Valley terroir. This Chardonnay is made from 90% grapes sourced exclusively from wholly-owned Anderson Valley vineyards, giving the team complete control over farming practices and stewardship of the land.

Vinified under the meticulous supervision of Domaine Anderson’s Winemaker Jerry Murray, Carpe Diem’s philosophy is to create the best of two worlds, by combining the richness of Californian fruit with the elegance of French winemaking techniques.

 

Vineyards

First produced in 2013, Carpe Diem Pinot Noir and Chardonnay are made in Northern California’s Anderson Valley. This region has gained an excellent reputation over the years, and is renowned for having the ideal terroir for growing Pinot Noir and Chardonnay for still wines. Not far from the coast and the Pacific Ocean, this fog-shrouded region provides excellent growing conditions for these delicate grapes.

Winemaking

100% Chardonnay grapes are aged for 10 months in 15% new French Oak.

Tasting Note

Carpe Diem Chardonnay is bursting with ripe, juicy fruits and subtle oak. This wine has outstanting balance due to the refreshing acidity produced by the Anderson Valley climate.

Food Pairing

Delicious with fish dishes such as Turbot or Dover Sole with parsley beurre blanc and a medley of green vegetables.
