Amour de Deutz Rose 2013 is a prestige vintage rose Champagne made from 58% Pinot Noir and 42% Chardonnay, with 85% of the blend from Grand Cru villages. Pinot Noir includes 6% red wine from old vines in Ay, with fruit from Ambonnay, Ay, Bouzy and Verzenay. Chardonnay comes from Avize, Vertus and Villers-Marmery. The blend combines Pinot Noir depth with Chardonnay refinement and freshness.
Vinification
The grapes were harvested in September 2013. The blend includes 6% red wine from old vines in Ay, adding colour, depth and red-fruit intensity. Malolactic fermentation is completed, bringing harmony and texture. The wine was bottled on 24 June 2014 and aged for nine years in cellar. A dosage of 7g/l supports balance, refinement and the smooth, sensual structure of the cuvee.
2013
The 2013 vintage was the last great late harvest in Champagne, recalling the classic vintages of the previous century. A dry, bright summer led to late flowering and slow, steady ripening. Harvest took place under generous September sunshine. The grapes reached perfect ripeness while retaining concentration, freshness and balance, giving a refined and precise vintage ros? Champagne with both energy and maturity.
