Ramos Pinto
Ramos Pinto was founded in 1880 by brothers Adriano and Antonio, bringing a new era of quality wine production to the Douro. Ramos Pinto’s long and distinguished history was further strengthened when the house became part of the Louis Roederer Family in 1990 who share the family history, focus on quality and investment in the future. Today, Adriano and Antonio’s descendants Jorge and Ana Rosas continue their pioneering spirit and search for the highest quality in the Douro as CEO and Master Blender respectively.

Duas Quintas Reserva Branco reflects the blend of Quinta de Ervamoira and Quinta dos Bons Ares in the Douro Superior. The wine brings together lowland and highland soils, maturity and freshness, schist and granite. This contrast is central to the Duas Quintas identity, giving the Reserva White a precise, elegant and naturally fresh expression of Douro terroir. It is designed to be enjoyed young, while also offering ageing potential.
Vinification
Grapes were selected from the best vineyards at Quinta de Ervamoira and Quinta dos Bons Ares. Harvest dates were determined through repeated tastings in the vineyard. Grapes were hand-picked, transported in small boxes and sorted by variety and vineyard. Whole bunches underwent around 24 hours of cold maceration before gentle pressing. Fermentation took place in stainless steel vats and French and Austrian oak casks, followed by nine months on fine lees before bottling in June 2025.
2024
The 2024 vintage followed a rainy winter, spring showers and a fairly dry summer. Strong soil water reserves and mild spring temperatures encouraged an early growing cycle. July and August brought high temperatures. White grapes were picked at Quinta de Ervamoira from early August to mid-September, while harvest at Quinta dos Bons Ares began in mid-August and finished in the third week of September. The final wine balances maturity, freshness and precision.
Tasting Note
The wine is pale yellow, clean and bright. The nose is harmonious, with bergamot, rose, pear and very ripe lemon. The palate is vibrant and precise, with well-integrated fruit, freshness and a crunchy texture. Light to medium-bodied, it combines citrus lift, orchard fruit and mineral definition with a refined lees influence. The finish is fresh, elegant and persistent, confirming the balance of maturity and freshness in the Douro Superior.
Food Pairing
Pair with boiled or grilled crustaceans, grilled John Dory, oven-baked sea bass, scallops, seafood risotto, roast chicken with lemon or semi-cured sheep?s cheese.
