Ramos Pinto
Ramos Pinto was founded in 1880 by brothers Adriano and Antonio, bringing a new era of quality wine production to the Douro. Ramos Pinto’s long and distinguished history was further strengthened when the house became part of the Louis Roederer Family in 1990 who share the family history, focus on quality and investment in the future. Today, Adriano and Antonio’s descendants Jorge and Ana Rosas continue their pioneering spirit and search for the highest quality in the Douro as CEO and Master Blender respectively.

Duas Quintas Douro Branco is produced in the Upper Douro from Quinta de Ervamoira, at around 150 metres altitude, and Quinta dos Bons Ares, at around 600 metres altitude. Made from traditional white grape varieties of the region, it reflects the balance between lower-altitude maturity and higher-altitude freshness. The result is a genuine, refined and elegant Douro white wine that expresses the character and potential of this sub-region.
Vinification
Harvest dates are decided after repeated tastings of grapes in the vineyard. Once picked by hand, the grapes are transported in small boxes, separated by variety and vineyard. Whole bunches undergo cold maceration for around 24 hours before gentle pressing. The must is transferred to underground vats for settling. Around 90% ferments in stainless steel and 10% in French oak casks of varying capacities, with lees work throughout. Bottling began in early March 2025.
2024
The 2024 vintage followed a rainy winter, a spring with some showers and a relatively dry summer. The growing cycle began early at all stages, supported by strong soil water reserves and mild spring temperatures. July and August were hot. At Quinta de Ervamoira, white grapes were picked between early August and mid-September. At Quinta dos Bons Ares, white harvest began in mid-August and finished in the third week of September.
Tasting Note
The wine is clear and bright, pale yellow with greenish reflections. The nose is expressive, with sweet flowers, pineapple, peach, subtle spice and a touch of smokiness. The palate is elegant, beginning with gentle volume and ripe fruit before moving into citrus freshness. Light to medium-bodied, it shows harmony, vivacity and clear Douro character. The finish is long, fresh and fruit-led, with citrus notes extending the final impression.
Food Pairing
Serve as an aperitif or pair with grilled fish, seafood, baked salmon with lemon and herbs, monkfish rice, shellfish, octopus or fresh goat?s cheese.
