Founded by Giacomo Tommasi in 1902, Tommasi has grown to be the largest family-owned vineyard estate in the Valpolicella Classica, owning 105 hectares and an additional 45 hectares in the Lugana DOC. Tommasi is located in Pedemonte in the heart of the historic ‘Classico’ region, from which the best quality wines are produced. The estate is owned and managed by the fourth generation of the Tommasi family, with six family members working together in harmony. Pierangelo manages the UK market, while winemaker, Giancarlo prefers to stay close the vineyards and winery.
The Bosco del Gal vineyard is situated in the Fossa Granara estate, which is located in Sandrà of Castelnuovo del Garda just south-east of Lake Garda.
The juice was vinified in stainless steel tanks and the wine stayed there for 5 months before bottling.
Bright straw yellow with green highlights, it offers a fragrant bouquet with notes of jasmine, peaches and apricots. It is deliciously fruity on the palate and delicately fresh and aromatic, with a markedly tangy finish.
Excellent for drinking throughout a meal with light, delicate dishes, in particular with fish- or white meat based main courses. It is delicious with mixed vegetable tempura.
