Rapaura Springs awarded Pure Gold at the Air New Zealand Wine Awards

We are starting to lose count of how many Gold Medals Rapaura Springs have won for their Sauvignon Blancs this year, and here is another to add to the list!

Rapaura Springs Reserve 2015 has been awarded the Pure Gold Medal at the Air New Zealand Wine Awards, New Zealand’s Premier Wine Competition.

Each year, the competition selects New Zealand’s finest wines from almost 1,500 entries.

In 2007, the Air New Zealand Wine Awards judges created a range of ‘pure’ medals, inspired by the New Zealand wine industry’s commitment to sustainability. These prestigious awards are bestowed on medal-worthy wines that are 100% sustainably grown and produced.

All wines are tasted blind and judged by several tasting panels before the winners are decided.

The Rapaura Springs Reserve Sauvignon Blanc is made from a selection of the best parcels of grapes collected at harvest. It is produced in order to showcase the diversity of flavours that can be produced in Marlborough wines. The vineyards at Rapaura Springs create wines full of generous passionfruit and flinty mineral characteristics that are delicious on their own, or with a range of foods.
